Archant

Archant are officially backing the Priscilla Bacon Hospice appeal and have supported us by publishing regular articles and updates in the EDP and Evening News since we launched the campaign in March 2019. Their support has been invaluable in helping us raise awareness of the need for the new hospice, promote initiatives such as Pink Priscilla Day, and celebrate the amazing achievements of people across the county and beyond who have fundraised for us.

Archant have directly fundraised for the appeal, with staff taking part in a charity football day at Carrow Road in 2019 and raising £1,830 in total. Read more here.

We benefitted from the proceeds of Archant’s 2019 Christmas Carol Service held in St Peter Mancroft Church, which totalled £1,551.13.

In July 2020, our Head of Operations and Fundraising, Hugo Stevenson, was delighted to be asked to be on the panel of a webinar hosted by Archant, to discuss the way forward for Norfolk’s charities in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.

EDP and Evening News editor, David Powles is one half of ‘Common People Norwich’ and chose us as one of the beneficiaries of funds raised at their 90s music night at Open in Norwich in February 2020. Fundraising continues, with Britpop t-shirts being sold and £2 from each sale being split between our appeal and the NNUH Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

David also ran the 2020 Virtual London Marathon and 2021 London Marathon for us, raising more than £5,000. Archant also very kindly match-funded David, to the tune of £3,000.
