Festive 5K a great success – photo gallery

The first Festive 5K Family Fun Run at Pensthorpe Natural Park was a big hit, despite the weather! Over 100 people braved the elements on Sunday 5th December to run, jog or walk the 5K course, covering parts of the park usually closed off to the public.

Martin Dupee, General Manager at Pensthorpe said: “This is the first fun run we’ve held at the nature reserve and we’re incredibly pleased with the turnout.”

Hugo Stevenson, Head of Operations and Fundraising at Priscilla Bacon Hospice said: “We’re absolutely thrilled with the number of runners at the Festive 5K. It is a tremendous way of raising money for the new hospice appeal and the Pensthorpe Conservation Trust and it’s a great way of getting into the Christmas spirit!”

The event raised a total of £1,455.00, to be split between the two charities.

Huge thanks to everyone who took part, we are thrilled to announce that this will become an annual event!
