Perfect for an early meeting with friends, a mid-week treat, or a leisurely start to the weekend, The Friends Café in Priscilla Bacon Lodge is a welcoming and spacious place for anyone to relax and enjoy views of our beautiful gardens.

We are open 7 days a week between 9:30am and 4:30pm, serving a range of freshly made meals, cakes, drinks and snacks. We also offer Afternoon Teas – please see below for more details.

The Café has a peaceful outside space for people to enjoy in warm weather.

We are open to the general public, as well as our staff, volunteers, patients and their families. We provide a great space to meet, along with a friendly welcome from our team.

By supporting our Café, you will be helping to raise funds for the Priscilla Bacon Hospice Charity, enabling us to enrich care for those in palliative care and their loved ones.

Afternoon Tea

Gather your friends and family for a decadent afternoon tea, with menus designed by our very own chefs.

There are two options:

Classic Afternoon Tea

Selection of finger sandwiches – cream cheese & cucumber, smoked salmon, cheese & pickle, egg mayonnaise

Fruit scone with jam and whipped cream

Sausage rolls

Victoria Sandwich mini cake

Lemon posset

Chocolate-dipped strawberries

Profiteroles

 

Served with a pot of tea – £15.95 per person

Served with a mini bottle of Prosecco – £20.95 per person

Gentleman’s Afternoon Tea

Sausage roll, pork pie, scotch egg, cheese twist

Cheese and onion quiche

Cheese scone with red onion marmalade and cream cheese

Steak ciabatta with caramelised onions and mustard mayo

Battered mini cod fillets, hand cut chips, tartare sauce and lemon wedge

 

Served with a pot of tea – £17.95 per person

Served with a bottle of Peroni – £20.95 per person

Coffee/soft drinks are available at an extra charge.

Booking is required and we need a minimum of 48hrs notice to ensure we have all the items ready for you to enjoy.
