Bereavement Services at Priscilla Bacon Lodge

We now offer a range of free Bereavement Services at Priscilla Bacon Lodge, to support individuals through their grief journey.

All services, except for One-to-One counselling, are open to anyone. You do not need to have had previous contact with the hospice, or a loved one who received care.

Early Bereavement Needs

Living with Grief Sessions: One-off sessions for adults newly bereaved within the first 3 months, providing guidance and understanding to navigate early grief. Sessions are bi-monthly.

Monthly Bereavement Drop-In Sessions: Open to all adults at any stage of bereavement, these gatherings offer a supportive space to connect with others experiencing grief. Clinically led, with the assistance of trained volunteers.

Ongoing Bereavement Support

Bereavement Support Group: An 8-week program designed to help individuals understand their grief and connect with others for mutual support. Facilitated by the Bereavement Counselling Team, these groups often lead to lasting relationships.

One-to-One Counselling: Intended for bereaved relatives whose loved one was in receipt of care from NCHC Specialist Palliative Care Services within Priscilla Bacon Lodge and Community Care. Sessions are offered face-to-face, online, or over the telephone.
