Priscilla Bacon Hospice are delighted to have been chosen to benefit from funds raised at this open garden event. We will be there selling teas, coffees and a selection of homemade cakes.

The garden is open on both Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th June, from 11:00am until 4:00pm. Entry costs £5.00 for adults and is free for children under 12.

The Georgian house, with extensive views of the Yare Valley, is set in over 2 acres of land. This provides the space for formal gardens, with an elaborate stilted double hornbeam hedge and fine mature trees, as well as the informal gardens with an enormous cloud-pruned box tree. Visitors both young and old will enjoy finding a variety of animal sculptures set within the gardens. A kitchen garden is flanked by a cruciform pond, with a bullrush inspired fountain and a series of harmonious ‘garden rooms’ with a variety of themes are revealed during a visit.

The Tour de Broads Cycle Rallyé Series is designed to offer cyclists a safe and healthy way to challenge themselves, stretch their cycling ambitions and offer them a rewarding and inspirational day out amidst the current desert of postponed and cancelled traditional cycling events.

The Rallyé village will offer you a midway stop and refreshments but perhaps most importantly, your hard earned moment of celebration, recognition and glory as you ride through the village area, under the arch, collect your medal and pose for your souvenir photo.

  • Choose your own route — suggested routes to the event village are on the Pedal Revolution website here.
  • Free Lunch — For all riders that reach the event village.
  • Special Custom Medal
  • Safe and social distance friendly event village – This will be achieved by following strict Social Distancing rules
  • Free route guidance and advice
  • Suggested Route Drink Stops – These will be along the suggested routes into the Event Village
  • Mechanical Support

Everyone taking part for us will receive a free Priscilla Bacon Hospice t-shirt and pin badge. In return, we ask that you raise at least £75.00 in sponsorship money, which will go towards building the desperately needed new hospice for Norfolk and Waveney.

After a really successful VW FAB Fest in 2019, where over £3,000 was raised for the new hospice, we are delighted to have become their permanent chosen charity!

The festival is organised by Terriann and Mark Vincent, and the FAB Family Crew. They are a family-based weekend VW festival and describe themselves as “back to basics, one big old school family festival”. They do say if partying until the early hours is your thing, it may not be your cup of tea!

Sadly the event could not take place in 2020, or 2021 due to the pandemic, so 2022 will see the very popular “Retro Pushbike Show” and “Shine & Show” return, along with a “Scrufts” Dub dog show. A “Dub Tucker Trial” will see contestants take on the FAB v Food trial.

There will be a raffle in aid of our appeal and we will be there on the Saturday and Sunday with a tombola and some other fun and games!

Camping pitches are now SOLD OUT. Advance day tickets can be purchased at a discount here, or you can pay on the gate.

For more info on the event, please see the VW Fab Fest Facebook page.
