These one-off sessions are intended for adults who are newly bereaved, in the first 3 months of bereavement. The session offers guidance and understanding to help you navigate your thoughts and feelings in these difficult early moments of grief.
Losing a loved one often brings distress with intense, overwhelming thoughts and feelings and often a sense that we are not coping.
We offer a short presentation about grief and how it may manifest within you and your daily living, along with some guidance on how to care for yourself.
It is a safe space where you may also feel able to share your experiences with others who are on a similar journey.
Sessions are offered bi-monthly at Priscilla Bacon Lodge. It is free to attend and you do not need to have had previous contact with the hospice.
Please email the Bereavement Counselling Team to book your place: [email protected]
Join like-minded professionals for a free business networking event hosted by Norfolk Netwalking. The session offers the chance to connect, recharge, and be inspired in a relaxed, outdoor setting.
After a short introduction and tour of the gardens at Priscilla Bacon Lodge, the group will walk to the UEA Broad, before returning to the hospice for optional refreshments at The Friends Café.
The walk covers around 3 miles on paved and potentially muddy footpaths, so suitable footwear is recommended.
Toilets and parking available at Priscilla Bacon Lodge, (car sharing encouraged).
Please pre-register via the link below, so the organisers can track numbers and contact you in case of any changes.

One of Norwich’s great treasures, the Plantation Garden is a 3 acre Grade II English Heritage registered garden established over 100 years ago in an abandoned chalk quarry, 600 yards from the city centre. Also referred to by locals as Norwich’s Secret Garden, it’s tucked away beside the Roman Catholic Cathedral on Earlham Road. It’s an oasis of calm in Norwich city centre.
Find a huge gothic fountain, flower beds, lawns, Italianate terrace, ‘Medieval’ terrace wall, woodland walkways, 10 metre long Victorian-style greenhouse and rustic bridge. The garden is heavily wooded and provides a habitat for wildlife, making it a haven of peace and tranquillity and a glimpse into a bygone age.

“We had a fantastic time completing the 5K inflatable run, and even better, it supported the Priscilla Bacon Hospice Charity! The numerous obstacle courses made it feel like we weren’t running 5 kilometres. After our team regrouped at the finish line, we agreed that we would have to do this again next year!”

“We all had a blast, thank you to all who organised the event!”
