We are delighted to have been chosen to benefit from funds raised with the sale of refreshments in this lovely oasis in the heart of Norwich. We will be there selling teas, coffees and a selection of delicious homemade cakes and savouries.
Take a moment to relax in this stunning garden, ideally situated between Chapelfield and the Plantation Garden. It is a secret haven where you get the best view of the Cathedral Church from anywhere in the city. It has become a social hub for the parish community, and a place of quiet contemplation.
Please kindly note that the timing of this event is TBC.

Following on from our incredibly successful and well-supported Sloughbottom Parkrun Pop-Up, our Retail Team are back, offering another fantastic selection of preloved sportswear to the running community.
This time our collaboration is with Catton Parkrun, and we sincerely thank them for allowing us to join their Saturday morning.

The cake stall will be stocked with post-run treats and will include vegan options.
We are also able to accept sportswear donations on the day, and would love to utilise any of your unwanted items to help generate funds for our charity.
Cash and card payments are accepted.

The session offers guidance and understanding to help you navigate your thoughts and feelings in these difficult early moments of grief.
Losing a loved one often brings distress with intense, overwhelming thoughts and feelings and often a sense that we are not coping.
We offer a short presentation about grief and how it may manifest within you and your daily living, along with some guidance on how to care for yourself.
It is a safe space where you may also feel able to share your experiences with others who are on a similar journey.
Sessions are offered bi-monthly at Priscilla Bacon Lodge. It is free to attend and you do not need to have had previous contact with the hospice.
Please email the Bereavement Counselling Team to book your place: [email protected]

Important Update - 17th June
We have made the decision to offer only the 5km Memorial Walk route due to the extreme heat forecast for Sunday. To help avoid the midday sun, the walk will now begin at the earlier time of 10.00am.
When you return to Priscilla Bacon Lodge after the walk, the Friends Café will be open, offering cold drinks, ice creams, and light bites for purchase to help you refresh and recharge. As the walk will now finish earlier than planned, we regret that there will not be a BBQ this year.
To help you stay hydrated, a water station will be available 3km into the route for refilling water bottles.
Please follow government advice to stay safe and comfortable in the heat:
- Drink fluids regularly throughout the day
- Wear lightweight, loose-fitting, light-coloured clothing
- Use a wide-brimmed hat to protect your face, eyes, and neck
- Wear sunglasses for additional sun protection
- Apply sunscreen generously and reapply frequently
Those more vulnerable to heat-related illness include:
- Adults aged 65 and over
- Babies and young children (aged 5 and under)
- People with underlying health conditions
If you originally registered for the 10km walk, your place has automatically been transferred to the 5km route. If you are unable to attend at the earlier time or prefer not to take part, please let us know – we will gladly arrange a refund.
We hope you can still join us to remember and celebrate your loved ones, while keeping cool and safe in the sun.
Remember the life of someone special whilst helping us to enhance the care for patients and their loved ones at Priscilla Bacon Lodge.
Walk a 5K or 10K route through the countryside surrounding the Lodge and join us in The Friends Café for a BBQ and refreshments afterwards.
Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome. Some of the Pets As Therapy dogs will be joining us.
- 10K Walk – 10:45am arrival for 11:00am set off
- 5K Walk – 11:45am arrival for 12:00pm set off

- Child (5-17yrs) – £7.50

- Raise £200.00+ to be entered into a draw to win Afternoon Tea for two at The Friends Café.

“We had a fantastic time completing the 5K inflatable run, and even better, it supported the Priscilla Bacon Hospice Charity! The numerous obstacle courses made it feel like we weren’t running 5 kilometres. After our team regrouped at the finish line, we agreed that we would have to do this again next year!”

“We all had a blast, thank you to all who organised the event!”
