The session offers guidance and understanding to help you navigate your thoughts and feelings in these difficult early moments of grief.

Losing a loved one often brings distress with intense, overwhelming thoughts and feelings and often a sense that we are not coping.

We offer a short presentation about grief and how it may manifest within you and your daily living, along with some guidance on how to care for yourself.

It is a safe space where you may also feel able to share your experiences with others who are on a similar journey.

Sessions are offered bi-monthly at Priscilla Bacon Lodge. It is free to attend and you do not need to have had previous contact with the hospice.

Are you recently bereaved and would like to understand the way in which grief and loss can affect us in our everyday lives?

This workshop will provide a space to help you make sense of the early stages of grieving so that you can find ways to support yourself, effectively.

Email events@priscillabaconhospice.org.uk to book your space.

You are invited to come to remember those whom you love but see no longer.

There will be the opportunity to engage in various remembrance activities including candle lighting, seed planting, writing and quiet reflection.

You are also welcome to add names to our Tree of Remembrance, or share your story with members of the Chaplaincy.

Outside the Chapel is a garden and water feature, where you can rest and find peace.

These are relaxed and informal events. All are welcome and no pre-booking is required.

For more information, please contact Helen Garrard, Lead Chaplain, at elisabeth.garrard2@nchc.nhs.uk or 01603 776633.
