Two years our garden had side to side leylandii which had died and were covered in ivy, as was the first 2 metres of the ground around the edges.  5 silver birch put everything in shade. I was determined to be patient but very shortly cleared the excess trees and ivy and using whatever was laying around, and advice from Uncle Brian, created what you see. I still find plants coming through unexpectedly, and even a small wall giving the tiers.  I have made small veg beds between the borders and added a much loved greenhouse. The end of garden is called ‘what grows there stays there’ and has become a favourite spot.
