We inherited our garden 18 months ago. It had not been really loved for a few years. We are gradually bringing back colour and putting our own stamp on it. The soil is sandy and poor, so we are having to see what will and will not grow. Backing onto a small woodland, it is a haven for birds. We are doing as much as we can to keep it wildlife friendly and have installed a pond. Work in progress!
