These glorious tulips were a birthday present last October from one of my daughters who is now a junior doctor at Addenbrookes. They were a complete delight this Spring – not only were they so pretty but they smelt deliciously of lemon sherbets! The flowers lasted for ages and were beautiful in combination with other plants close by such as a small magnolia stellata. They were in two tall planters which lifted them up so that their scent was easy to catch as I passed each time!
