THANK YOU MIRABEL OSLER. I lived the majority of my adult life without a garden and it was not until 1997 I moved to a terraced property a stones throw from the Coleman Hospital that I had a garden I could call my own. It is a very small courtyard garden but none the less it gave me the opportunity to have my own canvas on which to create.

I read ‘In The Eye of the Garden’ by by Mirabel Osler  in the early nineties and it was my inspiration. It was not till several years later I could live the dream and understand the essence of the book. It explains the mysterious power that the garden exerts over the gardener and the elements of the garden that is rarely explained in manuals.

Twenty years in the making, it reflects love, loss and memories. My wedding reception, memorial to my cat (buried under the Fatsia) and happy family parties. In the time of ‘Covid’ it has been a place that has given myself and my husband joy, peace and most of all calm in this challenging time.
