£2,110 raised by Kuk Sool Won of Norwich

We are incredibly grateful to everyone at Korean Martial Arts school Kuk Sool Won of Norwich for raising a fantastic £2,110.00 with a tournament held on 27th April.

Hundreds were in attendance, with 97 competitors taking part, and many family members and friends coming along to support and cheer them on.

SSKJN John Ives is the Master Instructor at the school, and has been holding the tournament annually since 2005. In recent years, the event has grown and evolved into a charity fundraiser. The Priscilla Bacon Hospice Charity was delighted to be selected to receive the funds raised this year, as John’s brother, Laurance, sadly passed away in Priscilla Bacon Lodge a few months ago.

John said: “What can I say about the hospice? It was absolutely amazing. Not only did they care for him, but they cared for us. They took care of all his needs, they took care of all of our needs. I can’t speak any higher of the nurses, the care workers, and the volunteers at the hospice. So, we decided to run this recent tournament and donate the funds to the Priscilla Bacon Hospice Charity, absolutely.”

Our thanks go to Keiron Tovell, for shooting this wonderful video of the event:
