£5,000 raised by Inflatable 5K runners

50 runners took part in the Inflatable 5K obstacle run at the Royal Norfolk Showground in aid of our appeal to build the new Priscilla Bacon Lodge. It was an incredible sight to see everyone in their pink Priscilla Bacon Hospice charity t-shirts, running and bouncing their way around the course.

The sponsorship money is still being donated and the total will exceed £5,000!

Hugo Stevenson, Head of Operations and Fundraising, said: “It has been heartwarming to hear the reasons why the runners have taken part at this event. Many were remembering loved ones; their grandmothers, grandfathers, mums and dads, who had received exceptional end-of-life care at Priscilla Bacon Lodge. We also had a team of nurses who took part, one of whom had come straight from a night shift delivering hands-on care to patients in the Lodge. The staff at the existing facility are also keen to play a part in raising the final £2.2 million necessary to complete the construction of the new Priscilla Bacon Lodge.”

A huge thank you to all who took part, we look forward to taking part again in 2023!
