Casino Royale Charity Ball raises over £20,000!
We are incredibly grateful to Frances Addington, for organising the Casino Royal Ball, which raised a remarkable £20,000 for the Priscilla Bacon Hospice Appeal.
Over 200 guests enjoyed a glittering James Bond themed ball at the Royal Norwich Golf Club. The event was attended by individuals and businesses who support the charity, where they enjoyed fizz, fine dining, an auction, a fun casino, and dancing to the Ignite Party Band.
The Ball was organised by Frances Addington, a volunteer for the Priscilla Bacon Hospice Charity and assisted by a team of helpers. “It would not have been possible without headline sponsor Wensum Valley Angling”, said Frances, “we also received support from Adnams of Southwold, First Bus, Sam Race Venue Decoration, Victoria Marquees, Claire Carney Floral & Balloon Designs, John Lewis Partnership Golden Jubilee Trust, East Anglian Motor Auctions and Hollinger Print. We were overwhelmed by the generosity of businesses and individuals who donated auction prizes, which helped to raise such a remarkable total at the ball.”
Hugo Stevenson, Head of Operations and Fundraising for the Priscilla Bacon Hospice Charity said, “The Charity is immensely thankful to Frances Addington and her team of helpers for raising such an amazing amount at the ball. It was a huge amount of work for Frances to deliver the event, which was postponed twice due to the pandemic, and we hope that this will now become an annual fundraising ball”.
“The event has come at a crucial time, as we are asking for countywide support to help us raise the final £1 million necessary to complete the hospice, which is due to open in the summer of 2023. Once built, the new Priscilla Bacon Lodge will offer the people of Norfolk and Waveney the very best specialist end-of-life care in an up-to-date facility which is set within beautiful gardens.”
