Final Open Garden of the year grows fundraising total to £10K

On Sunday 15th September, we were thrilled to have been given the opportunity to host an Open Garden event at the wonderful Plantation Gardens in Norwich for the first time.

We were very lucky with the weather and it was a great turnout of visitors.

We held a garden voucher raffle, and the lucky winner was Dorothy Ellis of Thorpe St Andrew.

A huge thank you to our amazing army of volunteers, who baked a whole host of tasty treats and helped out on the day. Special thanks to Teresa McInally, who arranged for us to host this event, and for Anna Parker to entertain everyone with her beautiful saxophone playing.

This was our last Open Garden for the year, and, building on the £9,000 that garden events had raised to date, we raised a further £1,121.05. This means well over £10,000 has been generated for the Charity from Open Gardens during 2024 and we are delighted with this incredible total.

The funds raised will allow us to enhance the care for patients and their loved ones at Priscilla Bacon Lodge. They will help us to provide important services such as private chefs, specialist equipment, patient and family transport, and bereavement support.

We will be back with more garden events in 2025! Keep your eye on our Events Calendar for details.
