We are thrilled to have been selected as one of the charities to host an Open Garden event at the Bishop’s House this year. We are excited to bring you live music, craft stalls, a tombola, games, refreshments and homemade cakes – all in aid of the appeal to build the new Priscilla Bacon Lodge!

Christmas can be a particularly difficult time of the year for those who have lost loved ones. Although we could not hold a large service encouraging solidarity and solace, as we did last year in Norwich Cathedral, our thanks go to the Dean and Chapter of Norwich Cathedral for allowing us to record Reflect and Remember – a service of Carols and Readings.

The service will premiere on YouTube at 7:30pm on Sunday 20th December and the video will remain up indefinitely after that. Please click ‘watch the service’ below to be taken to the video.  An order of service can be downloaded by clicking here and we very much hope you will join us.

If you would like to make a donation to our new hospice appeal, please click here. Thank you for all of your support this year!

The first 3 people to e-mail fundraising@priscillabaconhospice.org.uk can secure a place, so please be quick if you are interested!

If all of our places are allocated, we would still love to have you on board and you can run for us using your own purchased place. We will provide you with fundraising support, a free branded t-shirt/vest, iron-on letters for your shirt, and a pin badge.

You can join our JustGiving fundraising team page by clicking here.

All are welcome to a service to remember those known to us who have received hospice care and to commend the remarkable work of the Priscilla Bacon ‘Family’. This includes the staff and volunteers of Priscilla Bacon Lodge, the Priscilla Bacon Lodge Support Group, and the volunteers, supporters, donors and fundraisers for the Priscilla Bacon Norfolk Hospice Care Charity.

We are delighted that Dr Caroline Barry, Palliative Care Consultant at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, will deliver the address. She will reflect on her experiences leading a hospital palliative care team during the pandemic, and how our new facility will improve hospice care for patients across Norfolk.

There will be contributions from staff members, volunteers and Trustees from the Priscilla Bacon ‘Family’ and from Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust. The Chamber Choir of Norwich Lower School will lead the music.

As we reflect, remember and look to the future, please do join us to pay tribute to Priscilla Bacon Lodge and to support our work to improve the availability of hospice care for the people of Norfolk and Waveney.

Complimentary refreshments will be available after the service.

This event is free of charge and no ticket is required. It would be extremely helpful for catering purposes and to ensure the event takes place in accordance with any Covid-19 legislation if you could drop an e-mail to events@priscillabaconhospice.org.uk to let us know you will be attending.

We are very excited that Priscilla Bacon Hospice will be a part of this Summer’s Tour de Broads cycle event! We have a very limited number of FREE places to offer to supporters who think they can raise at least £150 in sponsorship. We will support you all the way with your fundraising and be there to encourage you on the day, with a gazebo in the event village.

This is the 7th edition of the Tour de Broads cycle sportive. It is the region’s biggest locally run and organised cycling event. As a social enterprise, all profits from the event are reinvested into local cycling projects, with over £100,000 raised for local and international charities and cycling schemes in 2017.

Taking part will definitely be an experience to remember, with a real festival atmosphere in the event village. Choose from 25, 50, 75 or 100 mile routes, which have this year been updated to take in more Broads and villages. Complimentary drinks and food are available en-route, plus a warm welcome home with a unique commemorative medal.
